Net-Meter Application Process

What is Net-Metering

Net-metering is a mechanism allowed by DISCOMs (TSSPDCL) to their customers (domestic or commercial users) who generate their own electricity using renewable energy (Eg: Solar Power by photovoltaic systems or Wind)and export their surplus energy back to the grid.

What is a Bi-directional Meter

The term bi-directional meter can measure the flow of electricity in two directions. When the monthly electric bill is calculated, if the customer uses more electrical energy than is generated, the customer pays only for the net kilowatt-hours (kWh).
